ndrea Lee is a rising star on the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first win at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee has had success all levels, including Standford University earning 9 wins throughout her college career, and having 17 weeks of being the #1 Women's Amateur in the World. She was awarded the Mark H. McCormack medal in the year 2019 and was the top-ranked female amateur in the final season. In the following year, she turned pro. Andrea Lee was born on 15 August 1998 in Los Angeles. James taught her how to golf as early as she was 5 years old. She first began playing at age 8 in competitions and was able to win 50 junior championships within the span of four years. In 2014, the US Women's Open was her first major cut. age 15 along with her dad along with her as a caddie. She was invited by sponsors to play in the 2015. She joined Stanford University and became its most decorated athlete at the moment. Over the next three years, she racked up nine individual championships. Lee was forced to leave Stanford University and turned pro in 2019. Her record for amateur golf included 17 weeks in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee also received the Mark H. McCormack Award for 2019, after completing the year at the top of the amateur ranking. Lee's record as an amateur comprised four holes in one as well as one albatross. She finished in Top 10 once in her debut season on the LPGA Tour. She finished T7 during the 2022 AIG Women's Open at Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee won her first LPGA Tour win in the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated her win to her late father Min she said that he always called me a champion, and he always believed in me.
